Illuvium Beyond Wave 4 Set to Launch on May 20

The collectible NFT card game, Illuvium Beyond, is gearing up for the release of Wave 4 on May 20th, introducing a plethora of new features and an exciting chance for players to earn rewards.

Exploring the New Features in Wave 4

Wave 4 of Illuvium Beyond is set to enhance the gaming experience with an array of new Illuvitars, updated collections, and innovative features designed to reward players. Participants can collect customizable Illuvitars, equip them with various accessories, and work on completing the Illuvitar Album. This new phase offers the potential to unlock soulbound in-game rewards and earn $ILV tokens by climbing the game’s leaderboard, all within the expansive Illuvium universe. Specifically, this wave introduces an impressive 227 collectible items, which include:
– 25 Tier 0 Illuvitars (available in every Wave)
– 75 Accessories (available in every Wave)
– 25 Illuvitars (exclusive to Wave 4, featuring 3 different Expressions and 3 different Backgrounds)

Players can acquire these new Illuvitars and Accessories through tradable containers known as D1SKs. Opening these lootboxes provides five different items. There are two categories of D1SKs: Standard D1SK (priced at 499 FUEL) and Mega D1SK (priced at 2999 FUEL). Purchasing D1SKs using Fuel helps meet community stretch goals, while the act of opening them contributes to personal stretch objectives. Additionally, there will be two other limited types of D1SKs available in an upcoming Alpha Sale.

Details on D1SK Contents and Mechanics

A Standard Illuvitar D1SK contains one random Illuvitar, three random Accessories, and one bonus Tier 0 Illuvitar. In contrast, a Mega D1SK guarantees one random Illuvitar, three random Accessories, and one guaranteed Rare Illuvitar. The contents of each D1SK are generated based on a weighted randomness that considers several attributes. The overall structure of Wave 4 aligns with the general framework of Set 1, although exclusive content from this Wave will have its own unique distribution. Tier 0 Illuvitars, Accessories, and Backgrounds will maintain consistent Set 1 weights across all Waves.

The attributes that influence the selection of a random Illuvitar from each D1SK include tier, stage, expression, finish, background tier, and background stage. Notably, Tier 0 backgrounds won’t feature in random Illuvitars.

Rare Illuvitar Opportunities with Mega D1SKs

For players interested in acquiring a Mega D1SK, there’s the enticing promise of receiving one guaranteed Rare Illuvitar. This rare NFT boasts over 1450 Solar Power, placing it among the top 8.5% of all Illuvitars. This power score takes into account the base Illuvitar attributes as well as background bonuses. It is estimated that collectors would need to open around 12 Standard D1SKs on average to achieve an Illuvitar with this level of power. Additionally, purchasers of the Mega D1SK may have the chance to obtain either a common Illuvitar paired with a rare background or a rare Illuvitar with a standard background.

Each Illuvitar has a designated Power Score, which plays a crucial role in calculating the points it contributes to your Album. The total Power Score is influenced by base Illuvitar stats, background rarity, and the impact of accessories. “Wave 4 builds on everything introduced so far in Set 1, offering more depth, more variety, and new exclusive Illuvitars. Whether you’re a completionist, a collector, or a casual player aiming for rewards, there’s something to chase this Wave,” the developers noted.

Understanding the Wave 4 Alpha Sale

In addition to Standard and Mega D1SKs, Illuvium enthusiasts can anticipate the availability of two additional types of D1SKs during the Wave 4 Alpha Sale, albeit in limited quantities: Standard Alpha D1SKs (priced at 999 FUEL) and Mega Alpha D1SKs (priced at 8999 FUEL). These exclusive Alpha D1SKs are designed to offer “no gameplay advantage” within the Beyond Album; however, they do grant bonus points that contribute to both personal and community stretch goals, along with featuring a unique visual effect. Each Alpha D1SK will be marked with an exclusive Alpha symbol on each Illuvitar, signifying its rarity and your contribution to this new Wave.

The Alpha Sale will see only 2500 Standard Alpha D1SKs available, with each granting three points. In contrast, the Mega Alpha D1SKs are even more limited, with only 1000 units available, each providing 27 points. The Alpha Sale will kick off simultaneously with the Extended Sale but will only last for 24 hours due to its limited stock.
