The Story of Champions
MetaFighter takes place on a cursed world once inhabited by an ancient, powerful civilization. Before their extinction, they created time portals to link their world to the past and future. It’s through these portals that the champions stride. Cyborg agents from the future, desert raiders sweeping in from far flung landscapes, police forged in inner city combat, and martial artists who hail from a more graceful, hallowed past. They arrive to compete for the title of Champion of The Metaverse and prove they are not just the greatest of their time, but the greatest of All Time.
The Gameplay of MetaFighter
The MetaFighter metaverse is populated with NFT Arenas where fighters can compete. The rules of each Arena are set by those who own the NFTs. Arena NFT holders can also host their own special events and place advertising in their Arena game space.
Players in MetaFighter will engage in fast-paced arcade-style combat and be given the chance to earn MetaFighter NFTs as well as $MF tokens to unlock bonus features. The in-game marketplace will let players trade fighters, skins, equipment, and arenas, so they can level up their characters, add individuality to their favorite fighters, or skill up fighters for newer players to pick up and play.
The NFT aspect means players will have true ownership of their character. They’ll even be able to rent their fighter to more active players and earn a dividend from the borrower’s fighting adventures.
Three Game Modes
There are three different game modes to suit all types of players. All game modes can be played either 1v1 or 3v3 as a team.
1. Fight To Learn (Free)
Everyone can always play for free. Free to Play (or Fight to Learn) lets players enjoy the beautiful fighting game that is currently in development. This mode will require no tokens of any kind, not even a Metamask, and will just be a sumptuous web based brawler for casual players to enjoy.
2. Fight To Earn
Fight to Earn is MetaFighter’s premium mode. Here, combatants can wager $MF tokens and earn from their victories. If you’re skilled and dedicated then there is a chance to earn significant rewards.
3. Fight To Gain
Fight to Gain offers other earning opportunities for the dedicated, and perhaps less skilled. By playing against other players or the CPU, players can level up their NFTs to supercharge their fighters and earn skins, special skills, and more. They are then able to sell or rent fighters out of their ‘stable’ to other players competing in Fight-to-Earn.
The $MF Token Economy
The core economy takes place in the Fight-to-Earn mode. Players will be able to wager $MF tokens before a bout. Veteran players of fighting games will be able unlock real value through their talents. Fanatical grinders, even if their skills are a little less, can also level up fighters before releasing them on the marketplace. The matchmaking algorithm will ensure that match ups are even and every player has a fighting chance going into the arena.
