Illuvium players are encouraged to register for the recently announced official Test Tournament, which will commence on July 5, marking the beginning of Competitive Season 1.

What Is the Illuvium Test Tournament?

The Test Tournament is a formal event featuring 32 players, designed to emulate the competitive structure anticipated in future contests. This initiative offers players a chance to share their insights, helping developers fine-tune the competitive framework before rolling out subsequent events that will contribute points toward the Illuvium World Championship. Set to kick off on Saturday, July 5, at 3 PM UTC, the tournament boasts a prize pool of 100 $ILV, roughly equivalent to $1,040, distributed among the top 16 players. The prize breakdown is as follows: 1st place will receive 27 $ILV (approximately $280), 2nd place will earn 17 $ILV (about $176), 3rd will get 13 $ILV (around $134), and so on down to the 13th-16th places, each receiving 1 $ILV (about $10).

The tournament employs a battle royale format without teams. All 32 participants will compete in a Best of 2 to determine who advances to the Semi Finals, where the 16 remaining players will also engage in a Best of 2. From there, half will move on to the Grand Finals, where the top 8 competitors will face off in a Best of 3 match. The entire tournament is expected to last around 7 hours, with the final match being broadcast live on the game’s official Twitch channel.

How to Participate and Earn in Illuvium’s Test Tournament

Players looking to seize the opportunity to earn rewards in Illuvium’s Test Tournament can register through the official event page on the Community Gaming esports platform. However, participation is capped at 32 players, so those who meet the limit can sign up for a waitlist in case slots open up due to withdrawals or no-shows. Open to players of all skill levels, those who secure a spot can look forward to the competition starting at 3 PM UTC on July 5. Participants from any region can join, and those who advance through all rounds should be prepared for a tournament duration of about 7 hours. Check-in begins one hour before the event, and it is essential for participants to complete this process to compete. After checking in, players should join the voice chat on Illuvium’s official Discord server to ensure smooth gameplay during the test event.

Making it past the initial round, where 32 players compete in a Best of 2 format, guarantees a share of the 100 $ILV prize pool. “This Test Tournament is designed for community participation – non-pro players are welcome and encouraged. With 50% of players earning rewards and multiple matches guaranteed, this is your chance to showcase your strategy and compete for recognition.”

Whether you are a seasoned Illuvium player or new to the genre, if you enjoy auto-battler games, this event presents a valuable opportunity.

Competitive Season 1 & Illuvium World Championship

Comprehensive details regarding the structure of Competitive Season 1 are expected to be disclosed shortly after the conclusion of the Test Tournament, with the World Championship Event slated for later this year. By participating in this weekend’s test event, players will assist the Illuvium team in refining the tournament structure in anticipation of future competitive events, which will award tournament points. These points, along with ranked leaderboard standings, will play a crucial role in determining qualifications for the World Championship. In essence, involvement in the test event can serve as a preliminary preparation for larger tournaments.

The World Championship Event will encompass the majority of the competitive prize pool for the year. To qualify, players must earn points through participation in upcoming Minor and Major Tournaments, each featuring varying prize pools based on factors such as token price fluctuations and participant numbers.
